Refunds, Returns & our 2 year Warranty

Please read the following information. It contains everything you need to know about the refunds, Returns & Warranty policies here at Wandering Wifi.

As passionate supporters of consumer rights, we make sure that ALL of our terms & conditions are in line with your statutory rights. More information on your statutory rights can be found on the gov.uk website or on consumer help websites such as Which or MoneySavingExpert.


For ALL refund, returns & warranty claims, we will need the following details from you:


  • Reason for refund, return or warranty claim request (e.g. damaged in transit, the product has stopped working, cooling off period return etc..).
  • The date of purchase & details of your purchase.
  • Contact details.


Please note - we won't be able to process any refund, returns or warranty claims without this information.


YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS ARE NOT AFFECTED

Items Damaged During Delivery

We package all of our products to try & avoid any risk of damage to your purchase during delivery. However, if your item has been delivered & it has been damaged during transit, please notify us as soon as possible, We politely request that you notify us no later than 24hrs after the item has been delivered. Please include details of the damage & photographs of the damage to assist our claim with the courier.


Unfortunately any claims for items damaged in transit will not be considered after 24hrs has passed.

Faulty Items - Within 30 Days Of Purchase

If your item is faulty upon delivery, or develops a fault within 30 days of purchase, we advise that you return the product to us (including the original packaging & any/all accessories). Once we have inspected the product & verified the fault, we'll issue a full refund or offer you a replacement product, whichever you prefer. We'll also reimburse your reasonable return postage costs - we recommend using DPD with an insured value up to the price you paid.


Please note - We test ALL returned items fully. If your item is found to not be faulty, or the warranty seals show any signs of tampering, damage or removal, your warranty claim will be rejected. The item will be returned to you AT YOUR EXPENSE. The item won't be returned until the return postage cost has been received by ourselves.

Faulty Items - Within Our 2 Year Warranty Period

If your item develops a fault within 2 years from the date of purchase,  you'll be entitled to a warranty repair. In some instances, you may be entitled to a refund. Our warranty repair/refund policy is as follows:


Day 1 - Day 30: We will offer to refund your money or replace the faulty product. Whichever you prefer.


Day 31 - Day 180: We will attempt to repair the product. This may include via telephone or email support. If we cannot repair the product, we will replace the product with a brand new product or offer a full refund once you return the faulty item to us.


Day 181 until the end of the 2 year warranty period: We will attempt to repair the product. This may include via telephone or email support. If we cannot repair the product, we will replace the item once you return the item to us. This may be with a refurbished product that we have certified as working & in "as new" condition. If we are unable to repair the product & a replacement product is unavailable, a full refund of the initial purchase price will be offered.


Beyond The 2 Year Warranty: If your product develops a fault after the 2 year warranty period has passed, please get in touch with us anyway. We'll still try our very best to get you up & running again. We want you to be happy with your purchase for many years to come, so we'll do all we can to help


IMPORTANT 


If the warranty seal stickers have been removed, broken, or have quite clearly been tampered with, your warranty claim will be declined. 


Please note - this 2 year warranty covers faults that develop during the normal use of the product only, using only the supplied power adapters. The warranty does not cover damage (unless damaged during delivery & reported to us within 24hrs), wear & tear, misuse & water damage. Any attempts to repair your product yourself will immediately invalidate your warranty.


In all warranty claims, you will be required to pay the postage costs for returning the items to us. We will reimburse you up to a reasonable amount upon us receiving your returned product & the fault being validated. For all returns, we highly recommend that you use a tracked service with insurance up to the full purchase price of your item. We recommend using DPD.


We cannot be held responsible for any items that you return that are lost or become damaged during transit. This is why we recommend having adequate insurance cover for your return.

Distance Selling "Cooling Off" Returns

 You're covered here by UK Distance Selling Regulations. By law, you're entitled to a 14 day cooling off period for items you purchase online, even if there is nothing wrong with the item.


The item needs to remain in a condition fit for resale & in an unused "as new" condition.


To exercise your right under the cooling off period, you MUST notify us by email WITHIN 14 DAYS that you wish to return your purchase. You then have a further 14 days to return the item(s). Our email address is contactus@wanderingwifi.co.uk 


Once your return has been received, inspected & everything is ok, we will issue a refund for the full purchase price.


IMPORTANT - It is YOUR responsibility to ensure your return item is packaged with adequate protection to ensure it arrives back to us in an undamaged condition. 


IMPORTANT - It is YOUR responsibility to pay the return postage costs. We highly recommend using a tracked service with adequate insurance to cover the purchase price incase the item gets lost or damaged. 


IMPORTANT - Any items lost in the post or arriving back to us with any damage (including to the outer cardboard storage box) may not qualify for a refund under your statutory cooling off period. In some circumstances, only a partial refund may be issued.


IMPORTANT -  If the value of the goods is diminished by any amount as a result of handling of the goods by the consumer beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, we may recover that amount from the consumer, up to the full purchase price.
